Environmental Exploration Center at Angelica Park

The Berks Conservancy’s vision for Berks County is simple: To maintain a large, healthy, natural environment with free-flowing streams, natural vistas, ample open space and farmland, healthy forests and streams, clean drinking water and safe and secure trails and outdoor recreational opportunities.

Educational programs are just one of the many ways we work toward achieving that vision.

We are proud to be managing and programming the new “Environmental Exploration Center at Angelica Park”. We are able to do this through a unique partnership with the City of Reading and Alvernia University. We look forward to working with Alvernia and the City and our many other partners to offer more programs in the future both here at Angelica and at our other preserve locations.

For us at the Berks Conservancy, helping to grow the next generation of environmental stewards is more than just a part of our mission - it is part of our collective future. We are building upon our Eco-Adventure camp, family fun days and trail hikes with the goal of introducing even more children and adults to the environment and connecting them to their natural surroundings.

We know in many cases what people learn here will stick with them for a lifetime and that the natural beauty and resources in Berks County will benefit for generations to come.

DIRECTIONS:
From Route 10 at the Queen City Diner (located on Route 222/Lancaster Avenue). Travel approximately one mile and turn right into Angelica Park (there is a large Alvernia University sign at the park entrance). Travel a short distance and you will see the Environmental Exploration Center on your right (green and brown building). It is the only building in the area. Travel past the EE Center to the parking lot and walk the trail to the Center.
