Many options are available to anyone wishing to give his or her time and talent to the Conservancy. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups, including many that do not require training. Event Staff for Special Events
Hands-on Outdoor Activities
We need volunteers who like to be outdoors and don’t mind committing some energy and muscle toward our projects.
Trail Ambassadors
Volunteers provide maintenance on the Greater Reading Trail System in a non-enforcement role. They will offer information to trail users, advising on trail etiquette, will record and report any problems on the trails to the trail manager and will take an active role in protecting the safety and beauty of the trails.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, commit to at least 3 hours a week from April to October and be able to communicate with the trail manager about potential issues. Currently we are looking to fill 12 new Ambassador positions.
Administrative Volunteers
Help the Conservancy run smoothly behind the scenes. We need volunteers to assist with mailing preparation for our special events.
